An antique chair, with an intricate, very attractive design, most probably inspired by Die Wiener Werkstätte. Although it can still be sat on, we wouldn't advise to use it as a functional chair. It is much more suitable as an art object to enjoy and charish. For instance in an art galerie to add lustre to surrounding works of art. Or as a special feature in an out of the box interior. Also, great to stack some art books or catalogues on or to display a sculpture or vase on.
The chair is still stable but a little fragile and the original paint shows losses and flakes.
