An octagonal Dutch modernist 1920s sidetable, rare design, with the shape of the legs and the macassar ebony scalloped details on the sides of the tablelegs. The height is 60 cm (23,6) inches), top is 40 cm (15,7 inches) The table is in very good professionally restored condition. It has a very nice shine which gives it a luxurious appearance. It's completely stable and sturdy.
The style of the table can be classified as Modernist or The Hague School (Haagse School). Tables like these are rare and very sought after by collectors of the Dutch modernist styles from the 1920s. It combines very well with more modern pieces as well as with antiques. The Dutch modernists were greatly influenced by American modernist architects like Frank Lloyd Wright, which is clearly visible in this piece.
