Product Details
Early modernist desk lamp by manufacturer Daalderop, designed by Kurt Versen in the 1930s. This and other designs by Kurt Versen were exhibited at the 1939 Word Fair in New York and in 1951 at the MoMa during the 'Good Design exhibition'.
The lamp has a Bauhaus design and naturally and evenly patinated surfaces and lampshade. Nice details are the metal ball on top that holds the shade in place and is repeated at the base. The design has become iconic and it is still modern - timeless. The inside of the enameled shade shows the age of this lamp, which is dated around 1930. Rewired in the 1970s. We have fitted a new plug on it (European).
