Lightart object by famous Dutch light artist Herman Kuijer(1953 - ), 'untitled', on joined metal panels, acrylic paint and two fluorescent tubes.
This object was part of the art collection of a hospital in Den Bosch, Netherlands. It is signed and provided with information on the back, as well as its original catalogue price (from a different era before introduction of the Euro currency)
Over the years Kuijer gained ground within the spectrum of dutch art and design. His art is difficult to capture under one name; some installations look like moving paintings, sometimes like autonomous artworks, and often serve functional purposes as well in public spaces. Kuijer designed light installations for a.o. museums, schools, financial institutions and hospitals. His installations often have a modest character and interact with their environment. Colour always plays a major role. As it does in this particular light art object.
Very suitable in a creative, eclectic environment or in a club/bar.
