Product Details
Stunning and iconic ''Pipistrello'' floor or table lamp model 620, ca. 1970. All original. Rare as a vintage piece; these lamps are still available new but an original one is much more sought after by collectors and vintage lovers.
The lamp was designed around 1965 by Italian female artist Gae Aulenti who for this particular design took her inspiration from the appearance of a bat's shape and wings. It's a bold design, a real eye catcher, especially with the (4) lights on. It has a telescoopic stem made of stainless steel. The height can be adjusted (height can be set anywhere from 66 to 85 cm) and the lamp can be used as a table or floor lamp. Condition is really good regarding its age. It has one superficial little dent in the cream coloured base but no scratches. The inside of the original lampshade has got two spots from melting due to use of old lightbulbs that still got hot. This is hardly visible from the outside. The lamp comes with the current new E14 Led bulbs.
