Product Details
A stylish Empire wooden chesstable from around 1870 in good condition with some minor signs of wear. It is stable and quite heavy. The table would be a great addition in a classic interior,
The table comes with an antique English Barleycorn chess set made from bone. The set is not original to the table but it is a perfect match!
The larger part of this octagonal table is made from padouk. The chessboard is an inlay of maple and padouk veneer. The colours are still bright and vivid.
The table together with the chess set is very pleasing to the eye as shown in the pictures.
The design and manufacture of the bone chess set is estimated around 1920. The set is complete and in good shape. Both table and pieces qualify as works of art as well as being perfectly usable.
