Product Details
An elegant Dutch Art Deco pedestal or plant table in the Amsterdam School style, dating from the 1920s–1930s.
The table has a beautifully slender construction, with a circular top supported by four tall, narrow legs and a smaller circular shelf positioned below. Despite its delicate appearance, the table is very sturdy and stable, but light in weight.
Particularly attractive are the decorative elements on the inside of the legs. These black-stained, sculptural wooden ornaments rise from the lower framework in irregular stepped, flame-like silhouettes, creating a striking contrast with the warm oak. They give that slightly theatrical quality so characteristic of the Amsterdam School.
The open construction makes the table especially elegant from different angles. Perfect as a plant stand, sculpture pedestal or decorative accent table, adding character without visually taking up much space.
