Dutch Art Deco occasional table or plant table , N.E.M.I. Steenwijk, ca.1930
The style is Amsterdam School. N.E.M.I. was a furniture manufacturer based in Steenwijk, Netherlands. Hildo Krop who was born in Steenwijk, designed several pieces for N.E.M.I. These are not documented in detail. This table may have been designed by Hildo Krop.
The table is in very good condition, stable, the wood has been recently refinished.
With its modest size it can be either a plant table, a side table or pedestal for display. The Willem Heesen vase in some of the pictures is also still available (see''Objects'')
