Product Details
An elegant and large antique table lamp dating from the 1920s, beautifully embodying the decorative spirit of the Amsterdam School/Arts & Crafts period.
The patinated copper base and stem are finely worked with hand-forged scrolls and twisted details, creating a sculptural presence. The organic, flowing form of the structure complements the delicate fabric lampshade, which flares outward in a graceful silhouette and is trimmed with a corded edge. The shade emits a warm, atmospheric glow that enhances the lamp’s decorative and functional qualities.
This lamp is a fine example of early 20th-century Dutch design, where craftsmanship, artistry, and architectural influence merged into distinctive decorative objects.
The piece is in excellent vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Rewiring has been done professionally. Lampshade is expertly reconstructed (and hand sewn) using the original frame and the original cord at the rim.
This piece would make a remarkable addition to a classical interior, as well as a unique statement in modern eclectic settings.
