An elegant Dutch Art Deco 1920s floorlamp, Amsterdamse School (Amsterdam School). Made from solid woodcarved oak, 4 padouk leg ends and decorated with slats of macassar, this piece has a luxurious and sculptural appearance.
The lamp combines very well with other Amsterdam School items or can be an eye catcher in eclectic out of the box interiors.
It works with one lightbulb (E27) and is fitted with a standard European plug. The (vintage) lampshades depicted are not included but can be included on request.
''The Amsterdam School'' stands for the Dutch architectural movement that flourished between 1910 and 1940. The movement influenced other art forms such as sculpture, furniture design and urban planning. Some characteristics of the Amsterdam School include:
