Product Details
Oak corner chair from the Dutch Art Deco era, ca. 1920s. Visibly influenced by Haagse School and De Stijl. A chair with clean lines and minimalist design from the 1920s is a rare find, dutch corner chairs from this period often have more ornaments, bobbin or rush seats.
This chair is perfectly proportioned with the seat height exactly matching the width and depth. It's a functional and simple design. Not too big, not too small. Effective and aesthetically pleasing. It has nice patina and a beautiful wood grain. Construction is very sturdy. It is in its original condition, with some patina adding character.
The piece is in good condition, the chair is sturdy and stable and can certainly be used as a chair to sit on. It's also an asset for art deco and modernism enthusiast and very suitable for styling. It would blend in in many interior styles, vintage, classic, as well as modern.
