Product Details
Designed in the spirit of the Dutch Amsterdam School/Arts & Crafts, this floor lamp treats furniture as architecture. A vertical oak column rises from a stepped, structural base, giving the piece a composed and grounded presence.
The warm oak is punctuated by sharp Macassar ebony inserts. These are not merely decorative appliqués but graphic markers that articulate the vertical rhythm and give the lamp its identity. The contrast between the materials provides depth and visual tension without excess ornament.
The base expands outward in geometric supports, reinforcing the architectural character. Craftsmanship is careful and deliberate, with clean joinery and subtly softened edges. The broad pleated shade moderates the strong structure, producing an even, atmospheric light.
The piece shows confident workmanship throughout, with carefully executed joints and controlled shaping. The wide pleated shade softens the geometry and produces a calm, diffused light.
