Product Details
An elegantly proportioned Dutch Art Deco accent table or small pedestal in solid oak, with a distinctive Amsterdam School silhouette. Its circular top and small lower shelf are connected by three shaped supports, each resting on a black-stained ball foot.
The design reveals its ingenuity as you move around it. Viewed face-on, the supports broaden into expressive, curved profiles; seen edge-on, they become slender vertical lines. This interplay gives the table a sculptural character with still an open, airy appearance. The rounded feet provide a playful finishing detail, their dark colour contrasting beautifully with the warm oak.
The carefully balanced proportions give this modest piece considerable individuality.
With its slender footprint and useful height, it works beautifully as a pedestal for a ceramic vessel, sculpture or plant, or as a decorative accent table in a thoughtfully composed interior.
Expertly restored and in very good condition. Photographed from several angles to show its form, construction and finish.
