Product Details
A highly decorative Dutch Art Deco side table in oak, designed in the expressive language of the Amsterdam School.
The circular top is arranged in contrasting sections of oak veneer, intersected by broad geometric bands and slender dark inlaid lines in macassar ebony. A continuous border of carved wooden beading follows the perimeter, adding an ornamental finish to the substantial apron beneath.
Four tall, flattened legs give the table its architectural stance. Their gently faceted profiles broaden towards the floor, while layered, flame-like carved elements (with macassar ebony) descend from beneath the top. These striking sculptural details are characteristic of the Amsterdam School, structural, dramatic and richly articulated.
A shaped lower tier connects the legs and gives the composition further visual weight. Despite its ornamental character, the table retains a strong geometric balance and a practical scale, making it particularly suitable as a generous side table, lamp table and a distinctive Dutch Art Deco accent piece.
The table has been lightly restored by a professional and remains in good vintage condition, with minor age-related traces visible.
