A very rare original 1930s sheet music stand from the Amsterdam Academy of Music/Conservatoire. Style is Amsterdam School (of the period). The stand is adjustable in height and has a special asymmetrical design in the base. Base and lectern made from beech (ply)wood. The shaft of the lectern is in solid beech wood with numerous holes to adjust the height to any desired size. In the presentation we have added some (around 1930) pictures from the ''Bachzaal'', which used to be the concert room of the Amsterdam Conservatory. One can see how these stands were used, they are visible from all different angles.
The stand is in good condition, with only small signs of wear and patina. It is perfect to use for its original purpose, but also as a cookbook stand or as a display for a menu / conference etc.
