Conrad Fehn Amsterdamse School fringed copper desk lamp. A bit of an oddity. The design is said to have been inspired by the carnivorous plant. Looking at the shapes of carnivorous plants, it seems indeed to have been inspired by the so called ''Venus Flytrap'' (last picture).
It's a surpsisingly large lamp, a bit over 50 cm seen from the side and 36 cm in height. Also quite heavy and it stands very stable. The lamp is adjustable at the top hinge.
This piece combines very well with other Amsterdam School items or can be an eye catcher in eclectic out of the box interiors.
It works with one lightbulb (E27) and is fitted with a standard European plug. The fringes are reconstructed and new. They're attached using velcro and can easily be taken off and replaced by another type of fringe (or just removed).
